USCom Communications, Inc. was founded in 1994 as a long distance agent for Unidial, Incorporated, marketing long distance services in Texas and Missouri. Corporate offices were located in Corpus Christi, Texas; Houston, Texas; and St. Louis, Missouri.

USCom became an exclusive agent for GTE, currently known as Verizon, in 1995, marketing local basic and optional services, long distance, data, and voice messaging products. USCom Communications, Inc. marketed exclusively for GTE throughout Texas and New Mexico, achieving and maintaining the highest GTE agent rating nationwide in 1997 and 1998. USCom had the lowest percentage of customer failures and complaints for its conversions and had no executive complaints ever, as an agent for GTE.

In 1996, USCom became an agent for Southwestern Bell, marketing local basic and optional services, long distance, data, and voice messaging products for SWB in Central and South Texas.

In 1998, USCom Communications, Inc. took the natural progression and applied for CLEC status in the state of Texas, creating USCom Telephone, Inc. USCom became a non-facilities based CLEC (reseller) at this time. We offered local basic and optional services, long distance, data, and voice messaging products. We contracted with GTE, Southwestern Bell, and Sprint.

Currently, we process interconnect agreements with the following local providers: Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. In addition, we offer long distance and data services throughout Texas. We are currently expanding within Texas and have applications with the Public Utilities Commission to maintain a facilities-based Certificate of Operating Authority in addition to the current reseller status.
